Stat and Trait Reroll Guide

Hero roster key art with multiple units
Good rerolls matter most on units you plan to keep.

Stat rerolling is a steady Coin sink. Trait rerolling is endgame investment, so save those rerolls for units you will keep.

Stat Reroll Basics

Stat Reroll portal
Stat Rerolls use Coins and let you keep either the old or new stat set.

When you reroll a unit's stats, every stat gets a new random tier. You then choose whether to keep the current stats or accept the new roll, so you do not lose your existing stats unless you decide to switch.

The stat tiers from best to worst are X, S, A, B, C, and D.

Stat Locking

Once you roll an X stat, lock it before rerolling again. Locked stats stay fixed, but each lock increases the Coin cost of future rerolls. A perfect stat set is X on ATK, HP, SPD, and CD.

Summoner units should usually prioritize cooldown first. Key examples are Bear Tamer, Reaper, Emperor, Necromancer, and Slime Summoner.

When to Roll Stats

Stat Rerolls only cost Coins, but early players can still run short. Roll stats when you are stuck on a stage or when the unit is good enough to keep, generally A tier or above on the Tier List.

Trait Rerolls

Trait Rerolls are rare and should be treated as endgame resources.

Trait Rerolls unlock at level 10 and give a unit a powerful trait. Do not spend them casually. Use them on Mythic or high-value Legendary units that you expect to use in endgame content.

Best Trait Targets

Ultimate is currently the best all-around trait. Divine is also broadly useful. More specific trait goals depend on the unit:

  • Cooldown traits are strongest on summoners such as Bear Tamer, Reaper, Emperor, Slime Summoner, and Necromancer.
  • HP traits are strongest on very tanky units such as Abyss Lord, Demon Knight, and Diver.
  • Speed traits are useful on units you use to farm Story Mode quickly.
